Business Systems and Technology Manager
Job description
The Business Systems and Technology Manager will lead the strategy, development, and continuous improvement of the company’s business systems and technology platforms. This role will serve as a key connection point between IT, business operations, and functional leaders, ensuring technology effectively supports organizational goals.
The Business Systems and Technology Manager will oversee system evaluations, implementations, integrations, and enhancements while identifying opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and automation. This position will also provide leadership for system-related projects, build strong relationships with software vendors and internal stakeholders, and help shape the long-term business systems roadmap as the organization continues to grow.
About the Role Lead business systems initiatives from initial discovery and requirements gathering through implementation, adoption, and ongoing optimization. Work closely with business leaders and subject-matter experts to understand operational needs and translate them into effective technology solutions. Manage system implementations and enhancements while balancing business priorities, timelines, resources, and organizational impact.
Evaluate existing processes and systems to identify opportunities for increased efficiency, automation, data visibility, and operational excellence. Support and improve core business applications, integrations, reporting, and data processes across the organization. Develop documentation, processes, and best practices that promote consistency, system adoption, and effective use of technology.
Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership by providing recommendations on systems, technology investments, and process improvements.
Requirements
About You
You bring a combination of IT, business systems, and operational experience, with the ability to understand both technology and business needs. You have experience leading or supporting software implementations, system roll outs, integrations, or system enhancements. You are comfortable working directly with business stakeholders and can translate complex technical concepts into practical business solutions.
You have strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive initiatives to completion. You are a problem solver who looks beyond the immediate issue to identify sustainable, scalable solutions. You are collaborative, curious, and comfortable working across departments and with individuals at all levels of an organization.
You are motivated by improving processes, enabling teams, and using technology to create measurable business value. Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Business, Information Systems, Accounting, or related field; or equivalent professional experience. Demonstrated experience analyzing, documenting and improving business processes Preferred Skills Familiarity with construction technology platforms (Acumatica, HCSS) or similar.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams. Experience with system configuration, reporting, data analytics, and workflow automation. Experience managing software vendors, implementation partners, and technology service providers. Knowledge of process improvement methodologies, workflow automation, and change management.
Experience with project management tools and methodologies for managing technology implementations and business initiatives. Understanding of data governance, system security, user access, and application administration.
