Sr Manager- Accounting MISSION: Responsible for supervision of company accounting and for production of timely, accurate financial statements that comply with GAAP DESCRIPTORS: Detail-oriented, Reliable, Proactive, Accurate, Organized, Multi-Tasker, Analytical, Adaptable RESPONSIBILITIES: Regularly review and post journal entries (including accounts payable, deposits, general journal, etc.)
to ensure that accounting information is complete and accurate Develop policies and procedures to ensure that financial reports are timely and accurate and conform to GAAP Oversee closing of monthly financial statements and assist in the preparation of monthly reporting packages for executive and/or Parent Company review Lead the AP function and oversee the review, processing, and posting of pay cycles ensuring proper coding, compliant tax reporting, and timely payments Develop and implement process and procedure improvements to support scalability of growth of the company while maintaining adequate controls and accuracy Proactively make recommendations to resolve issues and improve processes including recommending new tools/processes/reports that will enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reports Coordinate preparation of information needed for external and internal audit and implement any necessary recommendations from internal audit Review monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and ensure that all accounts are reconciled monthly in accordance with established procedures and timelines Interface with Parent Company accounting team to reconcile accounts and resolve issues Maintain working knowledge of the company’s internal control document(s), ensuring that the I/C documentation remains accurate and that controls are functioning as designed Maintain full ownership over finance-related operational requirements of the business (Physical Cash, Credit Card MIDs, etc.)
Continually evaluate financial and other systems to ensure that capabilities of systems are maximized and recommending modifications or enhancements as needed Additional projects and duties as assigned As needed, attend some of the Company’s events annually and perform various duties onsite QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE CPA (active license required) Minimum 5 years’ experience in public accounting and/or a managerial accounting position at a publicly traded company Big 4 public accounting experience (audit preferred) Working experience with People.
Soft Financials and Workday Financials strongly preferred Bachelor’s degree in accounting required People. Soft Financials experience preferred Good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Detail-oriented with high accuracy, strong organizational skills, and ability to multitask Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changes or challenges DISCUSSIONS YOU LEAD: You are responsible for leading conversations having to do with finance and accounting policies and procedures WHO YOU LEAD: Supervisor Accounting WHO LEADS YOU: Director-Finance & Strategy
