Responsibilities
Responsible for supporting the procurement process within the organization by managing the purchasing of goods and services, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining accurate records of transactions. The role involves communication with suppliers, monitoring inventory levels, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure the availability of necessary materials for operations.
The Purchasing Coordinator will work closely with the Purchasing Manager to execute purchasing strategies and help optimize cost-efficiency. Process and manage purchase orders (POs) for goods and services in line with business needs. Track the status of orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues or delays promptly.
Monitor inventory levels to ensure the availability of required materials while minimizing overstock. Collaborate with the warehouse team to manage stock levels and ensure that materials are received and stored properly. Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and procedures. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchasing activities, supplier agreements, and delivery schedules.
Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, including inventory levels, costs, and supplier performance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred) Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role (2+ years preferred). Familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems is a plus. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong analytical skills and ability to solve problems effectively.
