Pharmacy Technician

Mountain Community Health Partnership is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Pharmacy Technician to join our growing pharmacy team. This role is ideal for an individual who is passionate about patient care, values accuracy and efficiency, and enjoys working in a collaborative healthcare environment. As a Pharmacy Technician at MCHP, you will play an important role in supporting our pharmacists, helping patients access medications, and ensuring the pharmacy operates safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately prepare prescription medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Perform prescription data entry, insurance adjudication, medication counting, packaging, and labeling. Assist in maintaining compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations. Support inventory management by ordering, receiving, stocking, and organizing medications and supplies.

Process point-of-sale transactions and provide excellent customer service throughout the patient experience. Provide exceptional customer service to patients both in person and over the phone. Answer questions and assist patients with professionalism, compassion, and respect. Serve patients through the pharmacy drive-thru in a courteous and efficient manner.

Work closely with pharmacists and healthcare team members to ensure accurate and timely patient care.

Qualifications

Education

High School Diploma or GED. North Carolina Certified Pharmacy Technician and/or PTCB certification. Experience: Previous experience in a community pharmacy, preferred. Experience with pharmacy software and point-of sale systems. Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification, preferred. Passionate about serving patients and improving community health.
