Drive Systems is seeking a Supply Chain Intern to join the Global Supply Management Systems and Tools team. The team is part of the Procurement Excellence organization and supports systems, data analytics, and automation initiatives that optimize procurement processes, drive value, improve efficiency, and reduce risk.
This role offers hands-on experience supporting the implementation of the new Supplier Performance Management System (SPMS) and ongoing Advanced Commodity Management Engine (ACME) initiatives. Working with Global Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, IT, the intern will help analyze data, document processes and requirements, test new capabilities, and improve reporting and user support.
The position provides an opportunity to apply analytical and digital skills to real projects that improve supplier data quality, reporting accuracy, process efficiency, and user experience.
Key responsibilities
Support SPMS project activities, including current-state analysis, requirements documentation, data validation, user acceptance testing (UAT), issue tracking, and preparation of training or change management materials. Assist with ACME data and reporting activities, including supplier and customer contract information, index-management support, report validation, and reconciliation of outputs with source data.
Collect, clean, compare, and analyze supply chain data from Excel, Power BI, SAP, SPS, Ivalua, and related sources to identify trends, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities. Support supplier master-data and performance processes, including supplier onboarding, profile maintenance, commodity-code alignment, receipt and delivery-data checks, supplier scorecards, and reporting exceptions.
Create and maintain process maps, work instructions, checklists, training documents, status trackers, meeting notes, and project updates. Help test system enhancements and reports, document results, follow up on defects or open items, and support coordination with business users and IT teams. Explore appropriate uses of AI and Microsoft Copilot to improve data analysis, documentation, knowledge sharing, and routine process efficiency.
Prepare and present project updates, findings, and recommendations to the Systems and Tools team and other stakeholders. What we’re looking for Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Data Analytics or a related field. Working knowledge of supply chain concepts and an interest in supplier management, process improvement, systems, data, and reporting.
Microsoft Excel knowledge is required, including intermediate skills with formulas, Pivot. Tables, VLOOKUP, charts, data cleaning, and comparison of data sets. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to organize information accurately. Strong self-learning ability and willingness to explore new tools, systems, processes, and business requirements.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in a global, cross functional team. Ability to manage multiple assignments, follow through on action items, and work both independently and with guidance. Power BI experience is preferred. Knowledge of AI tools and Microsoft Copilot, including responsible use for analysis, documentation, or productivity, is preferred.
