Department: Ground Maintenance

  • Athletics Job Summary: This position maintains the athletic fields to ensure that they are prepared as required. The incumbent prepares athletic fields for practice or competition. Job Description: The incumbent prepares athletic fields for practice or competition.

Job Responsibilities

Maintains athletic fields to ensure that they are prepared as required; assists in mowing, spraying, fertilizing, and other similar maintenance functions. Prepares athletic fields for practice sessions, games, and other athletic events; lines off, rakes, drags, and cleans as required. Checks to ensure a neat and clean appearance of athletic grounds.

Cleans dugouts as necessary. Ensures all assigned tasks are in compliance with department, University, Southeastern Conference and NCAA rules and regulations. Performs similar or related duties as assigned or required.
