Highway Maintenance Worker I - Small Equipment Operator (61035177)

Performs manual labor assisting with the installation and repair of drainage features such as catch basins, pipe, signs, etc. Serves as flagger to safely direct traffic through work zones.  Assists with placement of traffic control devices for work zones. Operates dump trucks, hauling materials to and from job sites. Operates small equipment, power and hand tools performing various maintenance tasks.

Removes litter, debris, and dead animals from roadways. Assists in emergency and inclement weather operations may include extended hours and/or working 12-hour shifts.
