YOUR ROLE

As a QA Automation Engineer at PALO IT, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the reliability, performance, and functionality of our digital solutions through the development and automation of testing frameworks, alongside a solid understanding of backend processes.

• Design and implement automated testing frameworks to validate the functionality and performance of applications, integrating these into our CI/CD pipelines using GitHub.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality application delivery, leveraging GitHub's PR-based workflow for effective code management, and incorporating AI-based tools to enhance testing automation.
• Develop automated tests for both frontend and backend components, ensuring comprehensive coverage and integration of AI in testing practices.
• Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues effectively, proposing necessary improvements based on user feedback and performance metrics.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, contributing to continuous improvement in our development practices and ensuring quality is embedded at all stages.

Who You Are

• Proven experience in quality assurance automation, with a strong foundation in automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit) and CI/CD practices.
• Familiarity with backend development, particularly with Java and associated frameworks, is a significant plus, to better understand the integration points.
• Experience with databases such as Firestore and IBM Cloud SQL, as well as exposure to cloud environments like IBM Cloud.
• Proficient in QA methodologies with a focus on automation, and strong experience in GitHub for version control and project management.
• Solid understanding of software design principles, development best practices, and Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering robust and high-performance applications.
• Excellent communication skills with a collaborative mindset, ready to work within a diverse team culture.
• Knowledge of AI-based automation tools is a considerable advantage, to leverage technology for improving quality assurance processes.
