Job Description Company : Applied Cooling Equipment (https://acequip.net/) Role : Accounting Specialist (Part-Time) We are looking for an experienced Accounting Specialist to support the day-to-day accounting needs of the business.

This role will be responsible for areas including accounts payable and receivable, cash flow reporting, commission calculations, reconciliations, and month-end support. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting experience, be comfortable working in QuickBooks Desktop, and be able to work independently.

Responsibilities

Process and review vendor bills, customer invoices, and payments. Enter purchase orders and review invoicing for accuracy. Receive and record customer payments and initiate vendor payments. Prepare cash flow reports twice a week, including cash received, expected income, and upcoming payments. Track vendor payment terms and ensure bills are paid according to established schedules.

Communicate with customers and vendors regarding invoices, payments, and account questions. Prepare quarterly commission reports and calculate commission splits based on project responsibilities. Track commissions for projects that may run over several months and update calculations as needed. Prepare and record journal entries.

Maintain supporting schedules and assist with month-end close. Complete templates and gather information needed for sales tax processing. Reconcile customer, vendor, and prepaid accounts. Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation. Work in QuickBooks Desktop and assist with the transition to a new accounting system as needed.

Requirements

3-5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred. Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop. Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, journal entries, and cash flow reporting. Experience supporting month-end accounting activities. Experience with commission calculations or project-based accounting is a plus.

Proficiency in Excel and ability to learn new accounting systems. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Strong communication skills when working with customers, vendors, and internal teams. Location : Davie, Florida

• Hybrid, in-office approximately 1 day per week Estimated Compensation : $26-$33/hour, with flexibility based on experience and qualifications.
