Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Caster Wheel Production Engineer to oversee the manufacturing and production of caster wheels. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day production activities, ensuring quality standards, optimising manufacturing processes, and achieving production targets while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Roles & Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily caster wheel production activities. Monitor the complete manufacturing process to ensure quality, productivity, and timely delivery. Ensure production targets are achieved while minimising material wastage and downtime. Optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce manufacturing costs.
Coordinate with the Quality, Maintenance, and Stores teams for smooth production operations. Monitor machine performance and schedule preventive maintenance to avoid production interruptions. Maintain production records, reports, and documentation accurately. Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality procedures, and company policies.
Identify production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. 2–5 years of experience in caster wheel manufacturing, metal fabrication, engineering manufacturing, or a similar production environment. Good knowledge of production planning, manufacturing processes, quality control, and shop floor management.
Familiarity with production documentation, process improvement, and inventory coordination. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Good leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
