- Active Missouri Speech-Language Pathologist license.
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Experience with speech, language, and swallowing evaluations and treatment.
- Ability to develop therapy goals and treatment plans for adult consumers.
- Behavioral health, rehabilitation, long-term care, or hospital experience preferred.
- Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to complete orientation and meet facility credentialing/security requirements.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate speech, language, and swallowing functions using appropriate diagnostic tests.
- Develop treatment goals and speech therapy treatment plans.
- Provide evidence-based therapy for speech, language, and swallowing impairments.
- Determine the need for referral to a medical specialist, dentist, or counselor as appropriate.
- Interpret findings for clinical staff, consumers, and caregivers.
- Complete documentation in accordance with facility guidelines and policies.
- Ensure services are delivered safely and effectively.
- Attend required orientation prior to beginning services.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
