Monitor Tech - Emergency - Per Diem - Nights

Under the direction of the Department Leadership, the Monitor Technician is responsible for performing and organizing the clerical activities necessary to maintain the medical record and coordinating on-going activities within the assigned unit. Continuously monitors the ECG patterns of all patients including those remotely monitored.

Facilitates the documentation of ECG strips. In conjunction with the Registered Nurse, evaluates ECG rhythms via cardiac intervals and alerts the Registered Nurse to changes of life-threatening alterations in the patient’s ECG patterns, taking into consideration the age of the patient in question, i.e. adult and geriatric.
