About the role
Reports to the Fund Accounting Manager
- Private Credit As a Senior Fund Accountant, you will complete the fund accounting deliverables for a diverse portfolio of loan-focused investment structures. What you'll be doing Prepare the reporting deliverables for a portfolio of debt funds, portfolio companies, and related structures. Prepare/review loan transactions, general ledger entries, and financial statements. Support capital event processing including preparing the allocation files and notices for capital calls and distributions. Maintain accurate records in the relevant accounting system (predominantly e. Front FIA), particularly for key financial statement line items. Work with the loan servicing group to ensure proper recording of loan activity. Provide support for audit queries and routine requests. Monitor client mailbox, ensuring queries are responded to accurately and in a timely manner. Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and proposing automation or standardization opportunities.
What we're looking for
Relevant degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor’s or Master’s). 3+ years relevant experience and demonstrable understanding of accounting and reporting deliverables for close end funds (e.g. private credit, private equity). Experience preparing and reviewing fund financial statements, capital event notices, and calculating carried interest and fund performance.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Competent computer literacy and fluency in English. Understanding of fund structures and accounting for loan components (e.g., PIK interest, cash interest) is desirable. Proficiency in e. Front or similar fund accounting platforms is advantageous. Progression towards a professional qualification (MBA, CPA preferred) is beneficial.
