The Company… The company provides a home and community-based service to children, young people and adults through the NDIS. They have two clinics, one based in Christies Beach and the second based in Tea Tree Gully. They deliver a holistic service while ensuring a child-centered, person-centered and family-focused approach is utilized.

By employing a multi-disciplinary approach, they provide support to families to ensure a ‘team around the child/individual approach’ is used to achieve the best outcomes possible. Due to ongoing demands for their services, they are now seeking a passionate and kind Occupational Therapist to fulfill an exciting role to work across both a pediatric and adult case load.

The Position… In this position, you will provide evidence-based, client-centered Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention for children, young people and adults with disability. This role provides the opportunity for full time, or part-time work in either the Southern or Northern suburbs of Adelaide. The successful candidate will: Manage a diverse clinical caseload involving assessment, intervention planning, intervention, and evaluation for clients with a range of conditions including (but not limited to) Autism, Intellectual Disability, Down Syndrome, and developmental delays.

Educate parents and other cares involved in the clients care around therapy goals and recommendations. Complete Functional Capacity Assessments. Complete standardized OT assessments. Work with other professionals to deliver effective therapeutic outcomes to reach functional goals. Work within a multi-disciplinary team including Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists, Social workers, and Support Coordinators to ensure a ‘wrap around’ approach is utilized.

Complete NDIS reports. Organize your own calendar. The Ideal Candidate… The ideal candidate will have the following: Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (or equivalent). Current registration with AHPRA. Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screen Check. OTA Membership preferable. NDIS experience and understanding is preferable but not essential.

A passion for assisting clients to reach their full potential. A high level of written and verbal communication skills. Strong time management skills. Current driver's license and registered vehicle.
