Data / ML / AI Intern

**Company Overview: **Dialectic, a crypto-native organization of builders and capital advisors, is seeking a Data Science intern to join the team on a full-time basis. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic and fast-growing team, focused on investing in and building compelling software in emerging crypto and blockchain technologies. We produce outlier results through a series of diversified investment strategies in the decentralized finance ecosystem.

Job Summary: We are offering a Data Science Internship for a person with strong skills who can perform deep quantitative analysis that informs capital deployment decisions and furthers our research into topics such as risk management, portfolio optimization, and market analysis.

** Key Responsibilities:**

• Sourcing, compiling, cleaning, and analyzing data across a range of markets.
• Analyze existing datasets to identify trends and biases.
• Demonstrating findings to the investment team and CIO through thoughtful data visualization.
• Building out and maintaining datasets of consolidated information, especially with respect to opaque markets.
• Tailor traditional portfolio optimization methods to a DeFi yielding book.
• Participate in the discussions of the investment committee about capital allocation decisions.
• Work closely with the Software team to automate data collection and analysis processes.

Key Requirements:

• Experience with machine learning & statistical analysis methods.
• Strong Interest in the Cryptocurrency and especially DeFi space.
• Background in finance or computer/data science with a deep understanding of financial markets.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, be independent and be flexible.
• Development skills in Python.
• Skills in other languages, such as Rust and Solidity, would be considered a strong asset.
• Knowledge of database software tools, quantitative analysis, and data visualization.
• An understanding of the crypto markets and the web3 industry.
• Ability to find and clean data with respect to opaque markets.
• Advanced data visualization skills would be considered a strong asset.
• Self-motivated, disciplined, and detail-oriented.
