Role reports to: Director Quality and Compliance Location: Europe/Middle East/Africa, Sweden, Skane, Helsingborg Work Location: Fully Onsite What you will do Please note that this is a fixed-term contract position, starting immediately and until June 2027.
As the QC Microbiology Supervisor, you will: Lead and supervise the daily operations of the QC Microbiology laboratory. Ensure microbiological testing is performed in accordance with approved procedures, GMP requirements, and regulatory expectations. Review and approve laboratory data, investigations, and documentation.
Manage environmental monitoring, water testing, and microbiological support for manufacturing operations. Support deviation investigations, CAPAs, change controls, and risk assessments. Ensure laboratory personnel are trained, qualified, and performing activities safely and effectively. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory efficiency and compliance.
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to support production goals. Participate in internal and external audits and regulatory inspections.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Life Sciences, or a related field. Experience in Quality Control Microbiology within a pharmaceutical, medical device, consumer health, or regulated manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of GMP, FDA, EMA, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
Experience leading teams and developing laboratory personnel. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with environmental monitoring programs. Experience with deviation investigations and CAPA management. Knowledge of data integrity requirements and laboratory systems. Experience supporting regulatory inspections and audits.
