Essential Job Functions Maintain cleanliness and organization of loading dock, central warehouse, and office areas. Assist in receiving, storing, and distributing inventory to departments as needed.
Ensure all culinary and beverage equipment is clean, organized, and operational. Support kitchen and banquet teams by preparing and transporting items as required. Communicate effectively with vendors and delivery personnel. Assist with waste management, recycling, and sanitation practices. Follow all hotel safety policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the Culinary department.
Qualifications
Previous kitchen or culinary experience preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with vendors and team members. Ability to lift, bend, and carry up to 70 pounds regularly. Able to work in a standing position for extended periods. Positive, team-oriented attitude with excellent customer service skills.
Proficient with computers and email communication with vendors and department leads. Working Conditions This position operates in a full-service, professional hotel environment. Stewards regularly use dollies and flat carts to distribute products to all departments. Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required.
Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, and use of hands/fingers to handle objects. Occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Frequent lifting of objects up to 10 pounds; occasional lifting of up to 70 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
