Position Summary

The Quality Inspector is responsible for maintaining South Bay Solutions' quality standards by inspecting incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products. This role includes analyzing inspection results, documenting findings, and ensuring compliance with customer and company specifications. Available Shifts Swing Shift Monday through Friday 2:30 PM to 11:05 PM Weekend Shift Friday, Saturday, Sunday 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM Key Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.

Perform inspections on surface plates and other inspection equipment. Measure and test products using a variety of inspection tools and equipment. Conduct visual inspections to customer and company requirements. Maintain product identification and traceability records. Document inspection data, create reports, and issue NCRs within the ERP system.

Accept or reject products based on inspection results. Support quality improvement initiatives and KPI tracking. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills

& Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Up to 2 years of mechanical inspection experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of GD&T and ASME Y14.5M standards. Ability to apply mathematical concepts, geometry, trigonometry, and datum structures. Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and data entry. Preferred Experience ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) certification.
