About the Role

Advice. One is growing, and we're looking for a leader to manage a team within our Operations department. We're looking for someone with 2-5 years’ experience managing people, with real moments to show for it: holding a team accountable, developing someone's skills, making the tough call when something went sideways, and cultivating confidence when it went great.

We're less interested in how long you've been managing and more interested in the leader you are becoming because of those moments. If you're early-to-mid in your leadership career and ready for the next big step, this is it. You bring the leadership mindset. We'll bring you up to speed on the rest: the nuances of our industry, our Operations department, and everything specific to Advice.

Responsibilities include

Our Operations Manager will lead and develop the team that drives all processes both client-facing and behind the scenes that enable our firm to run smoothly. Run the day-to-day management of your team, keeping work moving and priorities clear Build and maintain a culture of ownership, collaboration, and accountability Coach, train, and develop your team; take real ownership of their growth Mentor team members through challenges, not just tasks, and invest in where they grow next Spot what's broken or inefficient and build better ways of doing things Partner with leadership to shape and execute strategy for your area About You: You’re a natural leader and get energy from it A proven track record of holding a team accountable and developing them, not just supervising them An out-of-the-box thinker who is comfortable proposing new ideas and questioning how things are being done.

A true people-person who gets work done through people, not by themselves You enjoy digging into complex problems and finding practical solutions You communicate expectations, feedback, and process changes clearly and directly You receive feedback well and act on it immediately You're organized, detail-oriented, and can manage multiple moving parts at once 2-5 years of professional experience, including 2 years directly managing people BA/BS degree About Advice.
