Energy Manager Northampton (Hybrid Working Available) £25 per hour (Inside IR35) Full-time, temporary contract Immediate start – 7 July 2026 We are currently recruiting for an Energy Manager to support a public sector organisation in Northampton. This is a full-time temporary role covering a vacant position, offering a mix of office and home working.
Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm (37 hours per week) Based at One Angel Square and Westbridge Up to 3 days per week working from home, depending on meetings and business needs About the role: You will be responsible for managing energy performance across a portfolio of properties, helping to reduce consumption, improve efficiency and support sustainability targets.
Key responsibilities
Monitoring and analysing energy usage across sites Identifying cost-saving and energy efficiency opportunities Supporting carbon reduction and sustainability initiatives Managing energy data, reporting and compliance Working with contractors and internal stakeholders to deliver improvements Supporting energy-related projects across the estate Requirements: Previous experience in an Energy Manager or similar role Strong knowledge of energy management and compliance Experience working across multiple sites or estates Strong analytical and reporting skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management Additional information: Inside IR35 role Unbranded CVs required for submission Candidates at a higher rate may be considered (rate to be clearly stated on submission) This is a strong opportunity for an experienced Energy professional looking for a flexible, hybrid contract role.
