Position Summary
Epitome Networks, an ASD company, is seeking a Sales Manager in Richmond, VA to lead, coach, and grow a team of eight sales representatives selling structured cabling, Audio Visual, and low-voltage technology solutions across the state of Virginia. This leader owns the team's pipeline, forecast, and revenue performance, helping clients design, build, and support technology-enabled spaces, from network infrastructure and wireless to access control, video surveillance, and audio visual.
The Sales Manager directly drives Epitome Networks’ growth by building a high-performing, accountable sales culture grounded in our values of Trust, Respect, Attitude, and Commitment (TRAC).
Key Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and develop a team of eight sales representatives, including hiring, onboarding, daily coaching, ride-alongs, and regular one-on-ones. Set individual and team sales targets; track activity, pipeline, and quota attainment and hold reps accountable to results. Own the team's sales forecast and pipeline reviews, ensuring accurate CRM data and reliable revenue projections for leadership.
Drive new-logo acquisition and account growth across Epitome Networks’ markets, including corporate office, healthcare, hospitality, retail, industrial and manufacturing, senior living, government, and quick-service restaurants. Coach reps to position Epitome Networks' full portfolio: structured cabling, wireless and DAS, access control and surveillance, audio visual, sound masking and mass notification, fire alarm and intrusion detection, and ongoing maintenance and support.
Partner with Epitome Networks’ design, engineering, estimating, and project management teams to scope solutions, build accurate proposals, and ensure smooth handoff from sale to installation. Support reps on strategic opportunities, including new construction, renovations, and multi-site rollouts, by joining key client meetings, negotiations, and closing conversations.
Build and maintain relationships with enterprise clients, general contractors, architects, IT and facilities decision-makers, and manufacturer partners. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing across Virginia and share insights with leadership. Report on team performance, win/loss trends, and growth opportunities.
Required Qualifications Education Level: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Years of experience: 5+ years of B2B sales experience in structured cabling, low-voltage, security, AV, or related technology services, including at least 2 years managing or leading a sales team.
Skills: Proven record of meeting or exceeding team quotas; strong understanding of structured cabling and low-voltage systems; pipeline management and forecasting; proficiency with CRM software (Hubspot) and Google; ability to read and understand project scopes and proposals. Core Competencies: Sales leadership and coaching, strategic account planning, negotiation and closing, accountability and results orientation, cross-functional collaboration, and clear written and verbal communication.

Certifications: BICSI credentials (such as RCDD or Technician); formal sales methodology training (e.g., Sandler, Challenger, SPIN, or MEDDIC).
