Safety and Compliance Officer - Fire

Salary: £40,000.00 - £50,000.00 Per year Are you a safety and compliance officer with a background in working in the Fire sector? We have a fantastic permanent opportunity as a Safety & Compliance Officer, within our Building Safety Team. You'll be based from our offices in Wembley, Basingstoke or Blandford with the opportunity to combine office and home working to ensure a positive work/life balance.
The Role: The role will support the Safety and Compliance Specialist
- Fire/Senior Safety and Compliance Officer
- Fire and wider Building Safety Compliance team on all fire safety matters on behalf of SNG. Support delivery of the FRA programme including the management of internal/external delivery partners and other specialists. Ensure that all remedial activities are identified, recorded, actioned, and closed in line with SNG's internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities include
Responsible to deliver the right outcome for our customers in a safe and timely way Promote a positive collaborative culture of building safety compliance Take personal responsibility for escalating any concerns to the appropriate member of the Building Safety Compliance team for consideration and/or investigation Support the Safety and Compliance Specialist
- Fire/Senior Safety and Compliance Officer
- Fire for fire safety compliance areas to ensure that SNG adheres to its regulatory and legislative obligations and that the organisation receives competent advice and guidance Act as a building safety and compliance subject matter expert and help define data requirements, policies and standards, whilst advising in their implementation Review building fire strategies and designs to ensure they meet regulatory requirements and undertake actions to mitigate risk, for example before new builds commence Ensure that actions from fire risk assessments, pre-occupation fire risk assessments and recommended upgrades are progressed, remedied, and recorded as required We are looking for someone who has: Experience of working to deadlines and achieving targets through own work and work driven through teams Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Up to date knowledge of fire safety legislation Demonstratable knowledge and experience of fire safety subject matters within the Housing Sector Qualifications: Level 3/Level 4 qualification in Fire Safety FRA qualification such as IFE or CS Todd and experience of peer review/auditing FRA's Membership of the IFE / IFSM or equivalent membership body, with demonstrable CPD Job Description We have some great benefits at SNG, including: 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays (with an extra day every year up to 30 days) Chance to buy or sell holiday as part of our flexible benefits package 3 additional wellbeing days and 2 paid volunteering days Generous matched pension scheme up to 12% and Life cover at 4x salary Enhanced maternity/paternity/adoption pay Options for private medical insurance, dental insurance and critical illness cover Wellbeing discounts, including Gym Memberships and access to a 24/7 virtual GP service At Sovereign Network Group, we are passionate about inclusion for all and creating a workplace where everyone can thrive.
