Job description

Posting Title: Gynecologist Industry: Hospital Salary: ₹3LPM to 3.5LPM Work Experience: 0-1 year Responsibilities Perform routine and specialized gynecological examinations, including Pap smears and colposcopy, for early detection and prevention of cervical and reproductive cancers. Conduct and manage normal vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections, ensuring maternal and neonatal safety and well-being.

Perform a wide range of minimally invasive and open surgical procedures, including D&C, LEEP, hysterectomy, myomectomy, oophorectomy, tubal ligation, pelvic floor repair, and fibroid/cyst surgery. Utilize laparoscopic and hysteroscopic techniques for diagnosis and treatment of gynecological conditions with precision and minimal recovery time.

Provide comprehensive infertility management, including initial evaluation, counseling, and coordination with IVF specialists for assisted reproductive technologies. Diagnose, treat, and manage common and complex gynecological disorders such as endometriosis, PCOS, uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, and pelvic inflammatory disease.

Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with hospital protocols and regulatory standards. Participate in on-call rotations and emergency obstetrical care as required. Engage in continuous medical education and contribute to hospital quality improvement initiatives. Collaborate with nurses, midwives, radiologists, and other specialists to deliver coordinated, holistic patient care.

Requirements

MBBS degree with a postgraduate qualification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (MD/MS in OBGY) or equivalent. Valid registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or relevant state medical council. Proven hands-on experience in performing D&C, LEEP, hysterectomy, myomectomy, oophorectomy, tubal ligation, pelvic floor repair, normal vaginal delivery, cesarean section, laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, fibroid & cyst surgery, and infertility management (including IVF coordination).

Proficiency in interpreting Pap smear and colposcopy results with clinical correlation. Strong clinical judgment, patient communication skills, and ability to work under pressure in high-acuity environments. Commitment to ethical practice, patient confidentiality, and continuous professional development. Willingness to work in a fast-paced hospital setting with rotating shifts and on-call duties.

Familiarity with hospital information systems and electronic medical records (EMR).
