MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician Bristol £32,000 – £44,000 basic salary (DOE) Monday to Friday (earlier finish on Fridays) The Role An established independent garage in Bristol is looking for a skilled MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician to join their friendly and professional team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a well-equipped workshop with a strong local reputation for quality and customer care.

You’ll be responsible for carrying out MOT tests (Class 4 & 7 preferred), servicing, diagnostics, and general repair work on a wide range of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct MOT tests in line with DVSA standards Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs Diagnose faults efficiently using modern diagnostic equipment Ensure all work is completed to a high standard Maintain accurate records and comply with workshop processes Requirements Valid MOT Tester licence (preferred but not essential for the right Technician) NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills Full UK driving licence A positive, team-focused attitude What’s on Offer Competitive basic salary: £32,000 – £44,000 depending on experience Monday to Friday working – no weekends Early finish every Friday 20 days holiday + bank holidays Additional time off over the Christmas period Supportive, relaxed working environment in an independent garage Ongoing training and development opportunities About the Garage This independent workshop prides itself on honest service, high-quality workmanship, and a strong repeat customer base.
