Job Summary
Accountable for performing laboratory procedures using a variety of instruments and procedures. Performs laboratory analyses at a highly proficient level and serves as a resource to coworkers for complex problem solving within the scope of the procedures performed in the laboratory. Areas of responsibility may include one or more of the following: hematology, coagulation, immunohematology, microbiology, clinical chemistry, immunology, urinalysis, molecular biology, point of care testing (POCT) and histopathology.
Participates in the CLS Training Program as opportunities arise. Functions as section in-charge and/or CLS In-Charge of the laboratory when supervisors are not present.
Qualifications
Additional Job Details Accountable for performing laboratory procedures using a variety of instruments and procedures related to Cell Therapy Laboratory (CTL) activities. Responsible for the handling and processing of cell therapy products and for performing quality control, quality assurance, and environmental monitoring activities.
Maintain required documentation and records. Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards. Participate in Cell Therapy and CLS training programs. Serve as the CTL CLS-In-Charge in the absence of supervisors.
Education
Bachelors Degree Consistent with State of California CLS Licensure requirements. (required) Masters Degree Related field (preferred) Licenses and Certifications CLS

- CDPH
- California Department of Public Health (required) Work Experience Minimum two (2) years Full-time equivalent clinical laboratory experience (required) Minimum one (1) year Full-time equivalent clinical experience in pediatrics (preferred) Minimum five (5) years Increasing knowledge, skills, and responsibilities (preferred) To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Compensation
