Job description
The Architect is responsible for the planning and design of a variety of building projects for industrial clients. Project types include new buildings or the renovation of existing buildings/employee office spaces (Common spaces such as meeting rooms, break rooms, restrooms, cafeteria, lobby, housekeeping storage, etc.)
, laboratories, offices, and research & production spaces.
Responsibilities
for this position include producing planning, contract, and specification documents. Desirable skills include an understanding of space planning & design for municipal projects, science & technology facilities design (laboratory & research space), and higher education projects (classrooms, laboratories). This position provides technical knowledge in the architectural discipline and assists colleagues in solving complex design problems through state-of-the-art technology such as Building Information Modeling (Revit) and other visualization tools such as Sketch.
