Job Description The Sterile Processing Technician decontaminates, cleans, assembles, requisitions, stores, and sterilizes supplies, instruments sets, and trays according to policy and procedure while using aseptic technique. Works closely with OR personnel and is responsible for the OR case carts and maintaining the OR / CS supply room and supporting other Hospital departments with their sterilization needs.

Key Responsibilities

Demonstrates basic knowledge of the principles of asepsis, infection control and standard precautions Demonstrates basic knowledge and principles of sterilization Responsible for ordering and maintaining inventory and supplies Serves as liaison between the OR and CS, providing supplies, instruments and case carts Required Qualifications: HS Diploma or GED equivalent Preferred Qualifications: Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) 1+ year of hospital experience The pay range for this position is $26.25 - $48.74.

Compensation

is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
