Position Summary

The Electrical Supervisor provides disciplined, safety‑centered leadership within a fast‑growing aerospace manufacturing facility operating 24/7. This role oversees all electrical maintenance activities related to 480V delta distribution, PLC-controlled automation, CNC equipment, forging systems, induction heating, furnace controls, and chemical processing equipment.

This operation has more than 700 electrical assets in the preventive maintenance program. The Supervisor is responsible for promoting a safety-first culture, enforcing compliance with electrical safety standards, and ensuring that team members consistently deliver high-quality, reliable workmanship. This position also drives continuous improvement using structured Kaizen principles, supports operational excellence, and ensures accountability for performance, communication, and professionalism across the electrical maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Employee Development

  • Establish and sustain a safety-first culture across all electrical maintenance tasks and workflows.
  • Lead and develop staff through mentorship, performance management, and structured skills growth.
  • Ensure accountability for safety compliance, work quality, equipment reliability, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain mature, steady leadership during complex troubleshooting or high-pressure operational events.
  • Facilitate structured Kaizen-driven meetings including daily tiered communication, standard work reviews, root-cause problem analysis, and continuous improvement planning.
  • Promote cross-training, teamwork, and technical excellence throughout the department. Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting
  • Oversee troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on 480V delta power distribution systems, MCCs, switchgear, PLC automation (Allen-Bradley/Siemens), CNC equipment (Fanuc preferred), forge systems, HVAC units, and furnace control systems.
  • Support installation, commissioning, and upgrades of new electrical and automation systems.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of maintenance activities, corrective actions, and equipment changes.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations to improve equipment reliability, safety, and throughput. Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure full compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, NEC, LOTO, and arc flash standards.
  • Lead hazard identification, corrective action implementation, and ongoing safety training.
  • Enforce disciplined use of PPE and safe work practices. Required Qualifications
  • Ability to support needs across a 24/7 operation.
  • Master or Journeyman Electrician certification or equivalent technical experience.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of industrial electrical experience; aerospace or heavy manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong background in industrial controls, automation, and 480V delta systems.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop technical staff.
  • Demonstrated experience with PLC troubleshooting, CNC systems, and furnace/forge equipment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments.
  • Experience with Kaizen, continuous improvement, or structured problem-solving preferred. Working Conditions Industrial aerospace environment with exposure to high temperatures, high voltage, noise, dust, and heavy machinery. Must be able to stand, walk, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs. PPE required at all times.
