The Sales Director (m/f/d) defines, drives, and implements the commercial strategy of Anton Paar France in order to ensure sustainable revenue growth and high customer satisfaction. The role positions the subsidiary as a key player in the scientific and industrial instrumentation market, in alignment with the Group’s global strategy.

Strategic and Commercial Leadership Define the annual and multi-year sales strategy in alignment with General Management and headquarters Develop sales targets, budgets, and forecasts Translate strategy into action plans by market, sector, and customer segment Monitor key performance indicators: revenue, margins, profitability, and market share Team Management and Development Lead, coach, and develop the sales teams (recruitment, training, performance evaluation) Set and monitor individual and team targets while fostering motivation and performance Promote a culture of collaboration, customer focus, and commercial excellence Business Development and Customer Relations Identify new growth opportunities in target markets (industry, research, universities, laboratories) Oversee prospecting activities and the management of key strategic accounts Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and retention Represent the company at events, trade fairs, and conferences Cross-Functional Coordination and International Collaboration Work closely with marketing, technical support, and after-sales service to deliver an integrated customer approach Participate in international exchanges with headquarters in Austria and other subsidiaries to share best practices and ensure alignment of commercial activities Analysis and Reporting Provide regular reporting to General Management and headquarters Analyze market trends, competition, and customer needs to adjust strategy Propose corrective action plans in case of deviations from targets Experience Minimum 10 years of proven experience in sales management Ideally within scientific instrumentation, laboratory equipment, or complex industrial solutions Strong experience in negotiating high-value contracts and managing multidisciplinary and multicultural teams Key Skills Excellent command of sales and negotiation techniques Strategic mindset and ability to drive performance Strong leadership, team-building skills, and results orientation Analytical mindset, rigor, and decision-making ability Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Fluent professional English (written and spoken) required to collaborate effectively with headquarters in Austria Education Master’s degree (business school, engineering, or science) A combined scientific and commercial background is a strong advantage Compensation: fixed salary + variable bonus Company car Position based in Les Ulis (91) – no remote work A stimulating environment within an innovative international group
