You start by prepping a patient for an exam, jump in to help restrain during a nail trim, walk a nervous pet parent through their cat's discharge instructions, and somehow make it all look easy.

We're looking to add a Full-Time Veterinary Assistant to a team that already knows how to work well together. What You Will Be Doing Maintaining accurate medical records and helping answer client questions Prepping patients for exams and surgeries Administering medications as directed Assisting with lab testing including blood, fecal, and urine Cleaning and sanitizing surgical tools, kennels, and exam areas Monitoring post-op patients and reporting any changes Safely restraining patients during exams and procedures Helping educate pet parents on medications, treatments, and care Partnering with credentialed technicians and Veterinarians to deliver top-tier care Schedule Full-time, Day shift 9-hour shifts No weekends No holiday shifts required What We Are Looking For 1 to 2 years of experience in a veterinary hospital or similar setting A calm, steady presence with animals and the people who love them Strong communication skills with both clients and teammates Organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable when the day throws you a curveball Cool under pressure and comfortable in a busy hospital environment Eager to keep learning and growing in your role A team-first mindset and the willingness to pitch in wherever you are needed Why Join Kinard Animal Hospital?

C ompensation Starting at $16.50+/hr. Final compensation will be commensurate with experience.
