š Location: Sandston, VA (15 Minutes from Richmond) š Duration: 6 Months (Start: 9/21/2026) š Type: 1099 Contractor
Compensation & Schedule
š° Pay Rate: $60/hr ā±ļø Overtime: Additional hours available as project needs dictate šØ Per Diem: None - locals only šÆ Completion Bonus: $150/month šµ Pay Frequency: Weekly ā° Schedule: Monday-Friday | 48 Hours/Week š Additional Schedule Details: Potential Saturday work (8-hour shifts) as project demands require.

This role offers the opportunity to work autonomously while leading a small safety team and partnering closely with the Site Supervisor and Superintendent on a high-profile, fast-paced project.
Required Qualifications
ā STS-C, CHST, ASP, or CSP Certification ā Bachelor's Degree in Safety or acceptable equivalent experience ā Minimum 3+ years of construction safety experience ā Previous data center construction experience ā Experience leading safety efforts on active construction projects ā Strong communication, leadership, and field engagement skills ā Ability to work independently while managing a small onsite team
Preferred Qualifications
ā Lead Safety Representative experience ā Mechanical, electrical, or mission-critical construction experience ā Experience supporting large-scale data center builds ā Strong knowledge of contractor safety management and compliance programs ā Advanced experience conducting audits, inspections, and incident investigations ā Additional BCSP credentials
What You'll Be Doing

Provide daily field safety oversight for active data center construction operations

Lead project safety initiatives while supporting a small onsite safety team

Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas

Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments
-
Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
-
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements
-
Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions
-
Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel
-
Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, and subcontractors
-
Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation
-
Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports
-
Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project
