Job Summary
An Unarmed Security Officer plays a crucial role in maintaining safety and security at various locations, such as office buildings, retail stores, residential communities, and event venues. Their primary responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and Patrolling – Conducting regular patrols to ensure the premises remain secure and free from unauthorized activity.
- Access Control – Checking identification, screening visitors, and managing entry points to prevent unauthorized access.
- Surveillance – Observing security cameras, alarm systems, and surroundings to detect suspicious behavior.
- Incident Response – Responding to disturbances, emergencies, or safety hazards while following company protocols.
- Customer Service – Providing assistance to employees, visitors, or customers while maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor.
- Report Writing – Documenting incidents, suspicious activities, or security concerns in detailed reports.
- Collaboration with Law Enforcement – Assisting authorities, when necessary, by providing information or evidence.
- Enforcing Policies – Ensuring compliance with company rules, safety procedures, and regulations. Unarmed security officers play a vital role in deterring threats and maintaining a safe environment through vigilance, professionalism, and strong communication skills. Conduct regular observation of client premises and report any suspicious activity. Perform foot patrols, monitor the perimeter, and handle incident reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver excellent customer service while adhering to safety, security procedures, and site-specific policies. Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, using problem-solving skills. Patrol the site on foot to identify potential dangers or criminal activity. Report any suspicious activity to supervisors or law enforcement as necessary.
Maintain accurate reports by documenting observations, occurrences, and surveillance activities. Issue verbal warnings, make arrests (if applicable), and/or contact law enforcement for security violations or criminal activities. Adapt to various working environments and conditions. Perform other duties as assigned. Make arrest Minimum Qualifications: Valid California Guard Card required.

Ability to meet all physical demands such as standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods. Must pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a criminal record, driving record, and drug testing.
