Our client, a well-established Real-Estate Insurance Company, is currently looking for an Underwriter Assistant to join their team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is ready to embark on a new journey in this industry while working alongside experienced professionals in a supportive and dynamic environment.
In this role, you will be assisting in the underwriting and processing of commercial risks, and you will be developing and maintaining relationships with international clients and brokers while ensuring high-quality service. This is a hybrid role that offers a salary of €29K plus benefits. Kindly note that due to the urgency of the role, only candidates who are based in Malta can be considered.
Role & Responsibilities Work closely with the Chief Underwriting Officer Review and summarise underwriting files Review policies Discuss policy coverage confidently with both external and internal clients Assist clients via phone and email Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with key clients and brokers across Europe Support the underwriting team in securing new business and maximising profitability Maintain and update internal systems Assist in legal research and projects Education, Skills & Experience Degree in law/insurance/property – or relevant experience Previous experience in a client management environment is a plus Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken Fluency in another European language is a plus Confident negotiator A problem-solver with exceptional analytical skills Keen eye for detail and able to respect deadlines Organised with the ability to prioritise tasks Customer-first mindset Able to work independently and within a team Proficient in MS365 applications Willingness to travel for work in Europe About the Role Salary of €29K + benefits Hybrid On-the-job training Sponsorship for professional qualifications Excellent career growth and development opportunities Kindly apply with your detailed CV in English.
