Job description

Maintenance Technician Full-Time | [Toano, VA] About the Position We are looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician to help keep our manufacturing operation running safely, reliably, and efficiently. This is a multi-craft industrial maintenance position involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, automation, and general equipment repairs.

What You'll Do

Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, repair, rebuild, and install industrial production machinery and plant equipment. Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and work with operators, maintenance personnel, vendors, and contractors to resolve difficult issues. Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pumps, valves, gauges, regulators, cylinders, piping, and related components.

Install and troubleshoot electrical/electronic components and automated machinery and equipment. Perform mechanical repairs involving motors, pumps, bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, and other power-transmission equipment. Use tools, test equipment, manuals, drawings, and technical documentation to diagnose and repair equipment.

Recommend improvements that increase reliability, safety, and production uptime. Maintain accurate repair information, a clean work area, and compliance with LOTO and all safety requirements.

What We're Looking For

High school diploma or equivalent and previous industrial, mechanical, electrical, or related maintenance experience. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Ability to safely use maintenance tools and test equipment and read technical documentation. Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.

Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, PLC-controlled equipment, welding/fabrication, plumbing/piping, or preventive maintenance is a plus. Practical hands-on experience is valued more than a specific degree or school. Schedule & Availability Work overtime as needed. Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation.

Respond to emergency maintenance calls when needed. Work occasional weekends, holidays, or other non-standard hours when required. On-call and emergency response requirements are shared through a scheduled maintenance rotation.

Compensation

& Benefits $21–$32+ per hour based on experience and skill level. Paid holidays beginning immediately. Health, dental, and vision insurance after 90 days. 401(k), shift differential for eligible off-shift work, and overtime opportunities. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, reach, twist, and work in various positions. Ability to use hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation. Ability to lift and move tools, materials, and equipment as required. Ability to work safely around industrial machinery and in a manufacturing environment.
