Physical Therapist (PT) – School-Based | Part-Time Are you a Physical Therapist looking for a flexible opportunity to make a lasting difference in students' lives? We are partnering with a California school district to hire a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist for a part-time position supporting students across a variety of educational settings.
Whether you prefer providing services on-site, through teletherapy, or a combination of both, this role offers the flexibility to match your professional strengths and scheduling preferences. As a valued member of the educational team, you will help students improve mobility, coordination, balance, strength, and overall functional performance, enabling them to participate more fully in classroom activities and school routines.
Working alongside teachers, families, and special education professionals, you will develop individualized therapy plans that promote student growth, independence, and success. This is an excellent opportunity for a therapist seeking meaningful work in a collaborative school environment while enjoying the flexibility of a part-time schedule.
What You'll Do
In this role, you will provide individualized physical therapy services through in-person, virtual, or hybrid service delivery models. You will evaluate students' physical abilities, develop and implement treatment plans aligned with IEP goals, and monitor progress while adjusting interventions as needed.
Responsibilities
also include maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports, collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams, and participating in IEP meetings to support student growth, independence, and educational success.
Requirements
Candidates must hold an active California Physical Therapist license or be eligible to obtain licensure. The ability to provide services on-site, remotely, or through a hybrid schedule is required. Previous school-based experience is preferred but not required. Successful applicants will possess strong communication and collaboration skills, along with a passion for helping students improve mobility, independence, and access to learning.
