Hiring Unit: Athletics and Recreation Position Summary: Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, the Event Assistant provides general support for events, following established procedures. The list of functions outlined below is representative and not a complete and detailed list of tasks which may be performed.

Primary Responsibilities: Welcome clients and respond to inquiries in a courteous and professional manner Collect and verify admission tickets Support entry control, including bag checks and general door security Assist with event setup and teardown of equipment Perform other related duties as required to support event operations Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities Customer Service Before applying, please note that to work at Mc.

Gill University, you must be both authorized to work in Canada and willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based / located. Knowledge of English: Mc. Gill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing.

Minimum Education and Experience: High School Diploma 1 Year Related Experience Hourly Salary: (AMUSE B) $16.85 Estimated Number of Work Hours per Week: 10 (Part time) Position Start Date: 2026-08-17 Position End Date: 2027-04-30 Deadline to Apply: 2026-08-10 This position is covered by the AMUSE collective agreement.
