Position Overview
Individual and Family Connection (IFC) is seeking a motivated and compassionate Clinical Intern to join our team. This internship provides hands-on experience working with children, adolescents, and families in a supportive, collaborative clinical environment. Interns at IFC are not just observing—they are actively developing as clinicians through direct client work, supervision, and real-world application of therapeutic skills.
What You’ll Gain Weekly individual supervision Direct experience providing therapy to children, teens, and families Training in assessment, treatment planning, and clinical documentation Exposure to a collaborative, relationship-focused model of care Support navigating licensure requirements and early career development Key Responsibilities Provide psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, and families (under supervision) Develop and implement treatment plans aligned with client needs Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation Participate in supervision, team meetings, and case consultation Collaborate with caregivers, schools, and other providers as appropriate Support ethical and thoughtful client transitions when needed Ideal Candidate Currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field Eligible to begin or currently completing clinical internship/practicum hours Passion for working with children and families Strong interpersonal skills and openness to feedback Commitment to ethical practice and professional growth Clinical Environment & Values At IFC, we prioritize: Client-centered, relationship-based care Ethical, thoughtful clinical transitions Strong team collaboration and communication Ongoing professional development and support We recognize the importance of the therapeutic relationship and support our clinicians in providing consistent, high-quality care to the families we serve.
