Intro AGS Civil is adding a Final Trim GPS Excavator Operator to the crew. If you can run a 5–30T digger, hit tolerances on pads, roads and batters, and actually like working with GPS instead of fighting it, this is your seat. What You’ll Do Working on Brisbane-based civil projects – subdivisions, roadworks, large-scale earthworks and detailed excavation – you’ll: Run 5–30T excavators on bulk and detailed earthworks, trenching and services Deliver final trim on roads, pads and batters to spec, not “near enough” Work off plans and designs with minimal hand-holding Use GPS and lasers to set out, check levels and stay ahead of the program Track your work on iPad / site systems so jobs run on time and to scope Look after your machine and keep your work areas clean and safe What You’ll Get Long-term role in a growing Brisbane civil business (not a short-term project seat) 10-hour days, Monday to Friday, home every night Occasional Saturdays or nights only when needed – not the norm Well-maintained fleet – no flogged-out junk held together with cable ties Third party ISO-certified systems and processes – jobs run tight, not chaotic A crew and leadership team that actually know how to move earth and back good operators Clear path to step into leading jobs and supervising if you’ve got the drive What You’ll Bring Must-haves: Minimum 5 years as an excavator operator, 3+ years final trim in civil Strong experience on subdivisions, roadworks, bulk and detailed earthworks Comfortable using GPS systems on the machine (or coachable and keen to lean into it) Proven ability to work independently: read plans, set lasers, hit levels without constant checking Construction White Card Able to pass pre-employment medical and alcohol & other drug testing Take pride in your work and your machine – you’re not rough on gear Nice to have: Experience working around live services Experience across multiple GPS brands / systems Who This Suits You’re not the “swing the stick and hope” type.
