Maintenance Technician B

  • Dawson, GA This is a full-time, hourly W2 position. R57 Schedule: 7:00am until released. Typically 4:00pm. Will work overtime, weekends, and be on call as needed. Pay: Maintenance B starts at $28.75 an hour, this could vary if selected for Maint A or C. We care about our people. Maintains a good attendance record Respond to requests to address and diagnose operation mechanical problems where equipment is not operating correctly Disassemble, repair, replace, rebuild, and install mechanical equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications Perform regular inspections of production equipment and performing preventive maintenance duties Collaborate with management and other colleagues in decisions concerning maintenance problems regarding equipment Fabricate parts for use in maintenance and/or electrical tasks Weld parts for use in maintenance and/or electrical tasks Perform semi-skilled to unskilled labor duties related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of various equipment Provide on-call coverage Responsible for ensuring work area is kept clean Order and inventory parts, equipment and/or tools as assigned by lead Job purpose is to minimize unscheduled losses and improve reliability Maintains good housekeeping and completes sanitation duties and paperwork as required. Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual inspections, reporting any problems noted. Willing to be trained to work various jobs within the facility Maintain documentation required to perform job duties Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned by management What we are looking for from you: A positive attitude and team mindset A desire to learn various operations and grow with the company Focus on Safety- Commitment to ADM's goal of achieving a zero-injury culture: to understand and follow all company safety procedure and use of PPE Ability to understand and effectively communicate in English (verbal/written) A high school diploma or GED That you are at least 18 years of age or older The ability to work overtime and be on call as needed including weekends and after hours That you maintain excellent attendance (being on time, working when scheduled, staying until your shift ends) Demonstrates the ability to be observant and to address concerns that may arise Previous experience in a factory setting is highly preferred Mechanical Aptitude is a must. Be able to troubleshoot and repair various types of equipment and will need welding and fabrication experience. 2+ years of Industrial Maintenance experience in a factory environment The ability to work above ground level on grated flooring and climb stairs/ladders *Please make sure to include your updated resume or full work history in your application.
