General Manager Operations and Franchise - North America

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager of Operations and Franchise to oversee our operations, drive franchise growth, and ensure the highest level of operational excellence. NB: The role is based in NYC, it is not a remote role.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Strategy: Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance operational efficiency and drive franchise expansion. Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Align company objectives with regional goals and franchise strategies. Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Manage budgets, financial planning, and resource allocation to optimize operational performance. Implement and monitor performance metrics to ensure operational excellence and accountability. Franchise Development: Develop and execute strategies to attract, onboard, and support franchisees. Ensure consistent application of franchise policies and standards across all locations.
Provide guidance and support to franchisees to help them achieve business goals and maintain brand standards. Sales and Marketing: Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement campaigns that drive growth. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to support franchise expansion.
Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth. Financial Oversight: Monitor financial performance, analyze reports, and take corrective actions as necessary. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies. Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.
Customer Focus: Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction by addressing customer needs and resolving issues promptly. Implement customer feedback mechanisms to continually improve products and services. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all regional and national regulations. Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Implement and oversee health and safety protocols.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field (Master’s degree preferred). Minimum of 10 years of experience in a management role, preferably within the Salon Industry. Proven track record of successfully managing diverse and remotely located teams and driving business growth. Experience in franchise management and development.
Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting and financial management. Proven communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities. Willingness to travel as needed. Must be able to establish and monitor success KPIs. Skilled at working with external service providers.
Experienced with providing team motivation and leadership.
