Job Description: Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Mechanic at the Prince George’s County Organics Composting Facility (OCF) located in Upper Marlboro, MD. This position performs installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment used to support facility operations and a variety of environmental projects.

Formal schooling from an accredited vocational school with a major in a related field may be substituted for experience.

Education

experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for up to three years of the required experience. Appointment to some sites may require Commercial Driver’s License with specific endorsements. Must have a valid driver's license with less than 5 points. This position will be open until filled.
