Overview
7:30 AM TO 4:00 PM MON/TUE/TH/FRI The Speech Language Pathologist examines and evaluates patients, developing effective treatment plans appropriate for the patient condition. The Speech Language Pathologist measures patient progress, modifies treatment plans and educates the patient to produce optimal outcomes.
Qualifications
Age of Patients Served All Age Groups. Required Education Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders Required Required Licensure/Certifications Current Florida license as Speech-Language Pathologist BLS from the American Heart Association Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA Required Experience Less than one year clinical experience in area of job opening (e.
g. Acute care, Outpatient, SNF). Experience obtained during fellowship applies. Preferred Experience Experience in Video Swallow Studies Speaking Valve Voice Prosthesis and FEES Necessary Skills
- Knowledge of Speech Language Pathology theory, procedures, practices and equipment
- Good communication skills. Proactive, positive approach to problem solving
- Thorough knowledge of possible hazards/necessary precautions/remedial actions in the care of patients
- Ability to assess for an implement treatment programs for simple and complex therapy diagnoses.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Age of Patients Served All Age Groups.
