Johnson Hospital . The Registered Nurse II provides safe, professional, patient-centered nursing care in accordance with the Texas Nursing Practice Act and Harris Health nursing standards. In this role, you will independently manage patients with conditions commonly seen within the assigned clinical area while applying established standards, principles, and clinical algorithms to guide care.

You will assess patient needs, implement appropriate nursing interventions, monitor patient progress, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team. The RN II recognizes when additional assistance or resources are needed and takes appropriate action to support safe, high-quality patient outcomes. Education

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Diploma in Nursing accepted Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Licensure and Certification Current Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice nursing in the State of Texas Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross-approved program Additional certifications as required by the unit or service Experience Minimum of 1 year of full-time RN experience OR Successful completion of a Graduate Nurse (GN) Program Communication and Language Skills Bilingual skills preferred Strong verbal communication skills Public-speaking capabilities Strong written communication for correspondence and reports Knowledge and Skills Professional nursing standards and practices Patient assessment and clinical decision-making Mathematics Medical terminology Computer proficiency Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams Ability to recognize changes in patient condition and seek appropriate resources Work Schedule Full-time Flexible schedule Weekends and holidays as required On-call availability Job Details Career Area: Nursing/RN Position Type: Full-Time Pay: $41.
