The Office Department of Mathematics & Statistics is seeking candidates for Student Employment Job Title.
The position will act mainly as a drop-in tutor for our mathematics courses, with additional light office work if there are no students to tutor.
**Main Responsibilities: **

Tutor students in mathematics & statistics courses
-
Assist newer students with learning about TCNJ
-
Assist with office work when tutoring is slow.
-
Interact with instructors to make sure that they understand the courses they are tutoring for.

Help students get over math phobias by presenting friendly, positive attitude.
**Learning Objectives: **

How to explain and simplify complex topics.
-
How to manage multiple clients (students) with different courses and learning abilities at the same time.

How to interact with instructors in a professional way.
**Preferred Qualifications: **

Positive, friendly attitude.

Major within Math & Stat Department
-
GPA of at least 3.2 and good grades in department's foundational courses.
