Job Summary

As a Technical Release Manager on our Cortex Content Engineering team, you will own the release lifecycle for our 3rd-party integrations and out-of-the-box content. You will ensure smooth, predictable, and high-quality deliveries by leading release execution and managing dependencies across core Cortex R&D and adjacent product engineering teams.

By combining strong operational discipline with a solid technical foundation, you will streamline release processes and drive cross-team execution. This role is critical to maintaining a high-velocity delivery pipeline while ensuring alignment across our organization.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee field stability post-deployment. Monitor runtime logs, track telemetry data, and identify system crash thresholds, error benchmarks, and quality trends across customer releases. Technical Triage & Incident Resolution: Act as the primary technical interface for production bugs and field escalations. Utilize your QA/Dev background to reproduce complex edge cases, analyze APIs and integrations, and direct engineering teams toward rapid root-cause remediation.

Metrics, KPIs & Data-Driven Visibility: Establish and report on release health metrics (e.g., MTTR, error rates, failure thresholds, defect trends) through Jira and analytical dashboards to provide leadership with actionable data. Controlled Rollout Strategy: Design and manage phased release pipelines, customer rollout groups, and deployment batches to minimize blast radius and ensure seamless delivery.

Feedback Loop to R&D: Channel post-release field learnings back into the pre-release development and testing cycles to iteratively enhance quality before software touches customers.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications Background in Development or QA (Required): Hands-on experience as a Software Developer, QA Engineer, or Automation Engineer. 5+ years of experience in Technical Release Management, Project Management, or Technical Program Management. Solid understanding of software development lifecycles, REST APIs, and modern release pipelines.

Proven ability to manage dependencies, resolve roadblocks, and keep engineering teams aligned. Technical Troubleshooting: Ability to read code, query APIs, analyze application logs, and deeply understand complex software components to triage field issues effectively. Strong hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence for tracking and release management.

Clear communication skills with the ability to lead execution across matrixed teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in cybersecurity, Sec. Ops, or enterprise software ecosystems. Familiarity with CI/CD tools or developer pipelines. Our Commitment We’re trailblazers that dream big, take risks, and challenge cybersecurity’s status quo. It’s simple: we can’t accomplish our mission without diverse teams innovating, together.
