** The role **

As a ** Technical Lead – AEM & Edge Delivery Services (EDS) ** , you are responsible for ** driving the technical vision, architecture, and delivery excellence ** of digital experience platforms built on ** Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Cloud Service and Edge Delivery Services ** .

** Role responsibilities **
** Technical Leadership & Architecture **

Own and drive ** solution architecture ** for AEM Cloud Service and EDS implementations

Define ** technical standards, best practices, and development guidelines **

Establish and enforce ** non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, security, resiliency) **

Lead ** design decisions ** across backend architecture, APIs, and integrations

Partner with Architects to align ** technical solutions with business objectives **
** Backend Engineering (Hands-on) **

Lead development of ** AEM backend solutions ** using:

Design and deliver ** headless and omnichannel architectures ** using EDS

** Cloud, DevOps & Quality Ownership **

Own and guide ** CI/CD pipelines ** (Cloud Manager, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins)

Define and enforce ** code quality standards, automated testing, and release processes **

Establish ** observability frameworks ** (monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting)

Optimize ** Dispatcher/CDN caching strategies ** (Fastly, Akamai, CloudFront)

Define and enforce ** security best practices ** (OWASP, OAuth2/OIDC, secure APIs, secrets management)

** Must have qualifications **
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications:

8–12+ years of experience in software engineering
-
6+ years of experience with ** Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) **
-
4+ years working with ** AEM as a Cloud Service and Edge Delivery Services (EDS) **
-
Proven experience in a ** Technical Lead or Senior Lead role **
** Technical Expertise **

Strong expertise in:

** The benefits **
This is a Full time position based in Canada. The offered salary range is $115,000 CAD - $150,000 CAD annually, depending on experience and location.
Valtech offers a comprehensive benefits package effective after three months of continuous service:
