Food Service General Worker - District Substitute

Bloomfield Public Schools is accepting applications from qualified local candidates for the role of Food Services General Worker

• District Substitute Work Day: 3.75 hours up to 7.5 per day, depending on the school and coverage needed. Shifts start time range from 7:30 am and end time is no later than 2:15 pm. Hourly Wage: $16.35 Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, and Duties: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Responsible for all general food preparation, serving, and sanitation procedures. Assists with preparing vegetables, fruits, salads, sandwiches, and other menu items. Sets up hot and/or cold food areas. Performs cleaning duties, including sweeping floors, cleaning equipment and work areas, dishwashing, and pot washing. Assists in receiving and storing food items. Ability to lift/move up to 30 pounds. Assists in serving of daily menu items. Cashiering experience desired, but not required. Willingness to learn. Performs other duties as requested by supervisors. Demonstrate the ability to deal effectively and courteously with students, food service department staff, and school personnel Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s.
