Job description

Departmental Overview Compensation / Benefits $14.29-$23.34/hr. depending on previous work experience. Evening differential $1.50/hr. Night differential $1.75/hr. Weekend differential $1.75/hr.

The Progressive Cardiac Care Unit (PCCU) at Norman Regional Health System is a fast paced, critical care environment providing specialized, high-acuity care to patients with cardiac conditions, both pre- and post-procedure.

In addition to caring for patients undergoing a wide range of cardiac procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), cardiac catheterization, pacemaker and Micra-pacemaker insertions, and cardiac ablation, we also care for patients hospitalized with a variety of cardiac diagnoses.

Job Summary

Job Summary Provides basic patient care Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment Takes and records vital sign (VS) data and relays to patient's nurse Provides general nursing care and routine treatment /procedures Facilitates processing of patients Provides clerical receptionist support Provides Coordinating Support Performs additional duties related to the specific needs of the department Qualifications Education High School diploma or equivalent GED Certification as a nursing assistant or 6 months of recent experience as a nursing assistant Experience Six (6) months of recent experience as a nursing assistant Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant or one clinical semester of nursing school or successful completion of an acute care nurse aide course; or six (6) months previous experience in a healthcare position can be substituted for the experience (Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).
