Quality Assurance Coordinator Location: East Lyme, CT Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM Pay: $25–$30/hour, based on experience Employment Type: Full-Time/Direct Hire Bonus: Performance-based bonus eligible About Our Client: Since 1989, Birk Manufacturing Inc. has designed and manufactured high-quality flexible heaters and thermal systems for use in various devices, instrumentation, and equipment for multiple industries.
Over the years, Birk Manufacturing has grown into an industry leader in thermal management and custom turn-key solutions. About the Position We are seeking a Quality Assurance Coordinator to support the company’s Quality Management System with a strong focus on document control, change management, First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), calibration support, training, and contract review .
The ideal candidate will have experience working in an ISO-certified manufacturing environment and be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing technical documentation and communicating across departments.
Responsibilities
Maintain and control Quality documentation, records, forms, and procedures. Support change management activities and ensure documentation is properly maintained. Create and maintain First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and related documentation. Support calibration activities and maintain appropriate records. Assist with contract review and ensure customer requirements are properly documented and communicated.
Review engineering drawings and customer requirements as needed. Prepare and review product certifications and Quality documentation. Compile documentation and support internal and external audits. Facilitate employee training and assist with onboarding. Address customer feedback and support resolution of Quality-related issues.
Promote a culture of Quality and compliance throughout the organization. Communicate with internal departments, customers, and other external contacts as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma required. Minimum 3 years of experience working in an ISO-certified manufacturing environment . Strong document control and organizational skills. Excellent attention to detail and follow-through. Strong written and verbal communication skills. PC proficiency with working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Ability to review and understand engineering drawings and technical documentation. Preferred Experience Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) . Document Control and/or Change Management experience. Experience with calibration processes. Contract review experience. Quality or manufacturing-related certifications.
Bilingual English/Spanish skills. The role may involve exposure to typical manufacturing conditions, including loud noises and fumes.
