Retail Pharmacy Technician Full-Time | $17 - $21 per hour Princing’s LTC Pharmacy | Saginaw, MI Princing’s Pharmacy is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Retail Pharmacy Technician to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the Pharmacist with prescription fulfillment, inventory management, insurance processing, and providing excellent customer service to our patients.

Position Summary

The Retail Pharmacy Technician assists the Pharmacist with the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, including preparing prescriptions, processing insurance, maintaining accurate patient information, managing inventory, and assisting customers. This position works closely with the Pharmacist and pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are accurately and efficiently prepared while providing a positive experience for our customers.

Our Benefits Medical, Vision, & Dental Insurance 401(k) and Matching Employer-Funded Life Insurance Financial Counseling EAP Mental Health EAP Employer-Paid CE Credits PTO and Sick Time Key Responsibilities Accurately measure, mix, and count medications Apply correct labels and prepare medications for patients Interact with customers, answer questions, and receive prescriptions Process payments and assist with insurance information Verify and maintain accurate patient information Maintain accurate patient profiles and electronic records Communicate with doctors’ offices regarding prescription refills Maintain pharmacy inventory and assist with inventory-related tasks Work closely with Pharmacists and other pharmacy staff Follow all applicable pharmacy laws, regulations, policies, and procedures regarding the storage, handling, and dispensing of medications Provide professional and courteous customer service Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Active State of Michigan Pharmacy Technician license or eligibility for the Pharmacy Technician licensing program 1–2 years of retail pharmacy experience preferred, but not required Knowledge of retail pharmacy software or equivalent experience preferred Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to work effectively with Pharmacists and other pharmacy staff Ability to maintain patient confidentiality Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks Skills & Competencies Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and time-management skills Professional and friendly customer service Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to follow pharmacy procedures and regulations Ability to work effectively as part of a team Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy Work Environment On-site retail pharmacy setting Frequent interaction with customers and pharmacy staff Frequent standing and walking throughout the pharmacy Frequent use of computers and pharmacy equipment Repetitive hand use when preparing and processing prescriptions Requires sustained attention to detail and accuracy Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
